PEPTIDE FUNCTIONALIZED POLYMERIC NANOCARRIER
We are developing robust processes to control the particle morphology, especially on preparing polymeric vesicles (polymersomes). These polymersomes find applications for the co-delivery of hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs and for enzyme-triggered release. Using peptide signals as address tags, our lab is interested to formulate the polymeric carriers for tissue-specific delivery by modifying the particle surface with short peptides. We are working in a collaborative project to deliver therapeutics to the central nervous system for the potential treatment of spinocerebellar ataxia.
