Yu Yu and Ni Rong attended the 2015 Chinese Biomaterial Congress in Haikou. Yu Yu gave an oral presentation on “Injectable chemically crosslinked Hydrogel for the controlled release of bevacizumab in vitreous”. Ni Rong gave a poster presentation on “Construction of viral-mimicry nanococoons by peptide/DNA co-assembly”.

Funding was approved from the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) for our proposal, titled “Development of a long-acting artificial tear formulation and its clinical application in veterinary medicine”. (PI: Prof. Ying Chau, Deputy Project Coordinator: Dr. Yu Yu).
Rong presented two posters on DNA-peptide self-assembled nanoparticles at the CRS (Controlled Release Society) Conference at Edinburgh.
Yu Yu and his One Million Dollar Competition project NovaMatrix was featured in major Hong Kong newspapers including Hong Kong Economic Time and MetroHK.

Our lab successfully received funding from Technology Transfer Center of HKUST for the project titled “Design and Fabrication of Marketable Ultrasound Device for Non-Invasive Ocular Drug Delivery”. The project was funded under Proof-of-Concept Fund. Professor Ying Chau serves as PI.
